The Goal
The products developed by STEM Engine have been inspired by the belief that everyone should benefit from engineering and its application to education. More specifically, the purpose of this organization is to develop educational tools, toys, and aids for teaching Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) for students with disabilities in pre-K to 12th grade.

Develop products that specifically support the learning of STEM subjects for students with disabilities:
Currently, there are various technologies available to help adults with disabilities. But these technologies are not necessarily intended for children who are learning STEM subjects. STEM Engine products will fill this gap.

Develop an engineering talent pool specifically for this area of work:
The products that will be developed by STEM Engine require a focus that is currently insufficient in engineering education. Internships for engineering students will promote a disciplinary area that focuses on filling this gap.

Bring together expertise from education and technology:
Today, there are many experts who work with students with disabilities. There are also many technical experts who have the ability to develop products that meet the needs of students with disabilities. But these two experts rarely communicate to identify and develop affordable and effective tools, toys, and aids for assisting such students in learning STEM subjects. STEM Engine brings together experts from these two areas to fill this gap.
